Research for Journalist

 Hello,

On this blog post you will see a research that I have done for a Journalist.

Last days I was trying to find more and more tips for my Final Project.

The Journalist that I found called David Spark.

His life:

He is Producer, Managing Editor, Co-Host at the CISO Series and a journalist (Adapt, n.d). Since 1996, Spark and his articles have appeared several media outlets including eWEEK, Wired News, PCWorld, ABC Radio, John C. Dvorak’s “Cranky Geeks,” KQED’s “This Week in Northern California,” and TechTV (formerly ZDTV). Spark is also the author of the book, “Three Feet from Seven Figures: One-on-One Engagement Techniques to Qualify More Leads at Trade Shows.” (Sparkmediasolutions, no date)

He inspired me and help me for several things because on YouTube there is a Video that called 30 Tips on How to Interview Like a Journalist - Content Marketing Tips. This is the video:

From his video I learned some tips.

The tips that he said was:

1. Find a good interviewee

2. It is your Job to research

3. Let your preconceptions go, or not.

4. Make them comfortable.

5. Make small talk.

6. Do not send out questions beforehand

7. Let them know what you are going to do

8. Warn them of the bright lights

9. Ask them to spell their name and title

10. Establish some reciprocity.

11. Record the interview.

12. Do not let them answer off mike.

13. Test your equipment

14. Know your equipment.

15. Ask open and ended questions

16. Do not try to fill the void

17. Ask the reflector question

18. Ask questions for which you already lnow the answer

19. The interview is a conversation with you

20. Reboot an Interview

21. Ask about feelings

22. For revealing interviews share your story first

23. Throw acurve ball

24. Repeat back the story in the middle of the interview

25. Repeat questions in different ways.

26. Get them to talk about what they really love

27. Trick them into getting sound bite you want

28. Let the interviewee ask their own question

29. Let subject read article for acuracy or do not.

30. Practice,Practise, Practise...

I used the most of those tips. However, there are two that are more important:

The two tips that I liked with the way that he was present them and make them relevant was to ask open and ended questions because the answers have to be long. The last tip was to reboot an interview if something going wrong, this made me feel less stressful. From these tips I get positive vibes for my Project.

Portfolio websites

I found some portfolio websites to help me for mine. 1. Christina Vanessa Christina is Graphic designer and visual communicator and she has an eye for aesthetics. Her first page on her portfolio website is a simple expression of her creative work and personality. There’s a fullscreen looped video showcasing her best pieces, with her name and disciplines written above. Following this promising introduction, Christina’s ‘Explore’ page is just as impressive, incorporating multiple design features . From the works themselves to the layered blocks that make up the page’s layout, the website’s color scheme is cohesive and neutral. The soft shades of cream, beige and gray craft a serene atmosphere, further reinforced by the smooth animations. On her website there are two pages. The first one is the explore and the second one is the about me page. On her about me page, she put information for herself and contact details. This page I make it too and I wrote information for myself. On the next...

Research post for an idea

Psychological impact of the COVID-19 Is the covid-19 affecting our mental health? The results of Covid-19is the heightened anxiety, with immediate effects on our mental health. There are  fears of contagion lead us to become more conformist and tribalistic, and less accepting of eccentricity. In addition, the every day reminders of the sick maybe even sway our political affiliations. Moreover, this sickness can affect our mental health because we stayed home and we cannot do anything.  The changes about meetings with psychologists: In my opinion everyone need face to face sessions with psychology because, all we have some problems to discuss. Since covid came in our lives  , allied health professionals such as psychologists were not deemed "essential services." This meant that psychologists were not allowed to see people at their office face-to-face and all sessions had to be shifted through phones. This was different and difficult for everyone. I could say...
